[origin: EP0412294A1] What is described is an air-jet weaving machine having a weaving reed (1) and a weft insertion channel (2) arranged in the weaving reed, a temple table (7) being arranged in front of the weaving reed (1). <??>The basic object here is to process very fine yarns with a high weft density in an operationally reliable manner, whilst at the same time preserving an excellent product quality. <??>For this, in the region of the front fabric deflection there is integrated in the temple table (7) a spreading element (20) which grasps at least the edge region of the material web. <??>In a further embodiment, a spreading element (21) is arranged not only at the front entrance of the temple table (7) but also at its rear exit. <IMAGE>
