A fixed, first stop (3) and a swivellable second stop (4) abutting flatly thereat are arranged between the light source (6), which is arranged at the focal point of a reflector (1), and a collector lens (2). The second stop can be adjusted about a swivel axis (12) into two end positions and generates at least in one end position together with the stop edge of the first stop the low-beam cut-off of the light bundle emanating from the headlamp. In both end positions, the second stop (4) is held by a compression spring (15) which is inserted under bias between two abutments (16, 17). One abutment (16) is formed by a side face of a recess (20) introduced into the first stop, and the other abutment (17) is formed by the side face of a recess (23) introduced into the second stop. In this arrangement, the side faces of the abutments are turned towards one another, and in the two end positions of the second stop the swivellable terminal section of the compression spring abuts under bias at a side face (24), serving as a limit stop, of a recess (22) introduced in the first stop. The abutment of the first stop lies on a line passing through the centre of gravity and between the two limit stops of the first stop. <IMAGE>

Zwischen der im Brennpunkt eines Reflektors (1) angeordneten Lichtquelle (6) und einer Sammellinse (2) ist eine ortsfeste, erste Blende (3) und eine, flächig an dieser anliegende, verschwenkbare zweite Blende (4) angeordnet. Die zweite Blende ist um eine Schwenkachse (12) in zwei Endstellungen einstellbar und erzeugt zumindest in einer Endstellung zusammen mit der Blendenkante der ersten Blende die Hell/Dunkelgrenze des aus dem Scheinwerfer austretenden Lichtbündels. In beiden Endstellungen ist die zweite Blende (4) durch eine Druckfeder (15) gehalten, welche zwischen zwei Widerlagern (16,17) unter Vorspannung eingesetzt ist. Ein Widerlager (16) wird von einer Seitenfläche einer in die erste Blende eingebrachten Aussparung (20) und das andere Widerlager (17) von der Seitenfläche einer in die zweite Blende eingebrachten Aussparung (23) gebildet. Hierbei sind sich die Seitenflächen der Widerlager zugewandt und in beiden Endstellungen der zweiten Blende liegt der verschwenkbare Endabschnitt der Druckfeder an einer als Anschlag dienenden Seitenfläche (24) einer in die erste Blende eingebrachten Aussparung (22) unter Vorspannung an. Das Widerlager der ersten Blende liegt auf einer durch den Schwenkpunkt und zwischen den beiden Anschlägen der ersten Blende hindurchgehenden Linie.
