The package (10) consists of two package halves (16, 18) which each surround the articles (14) in the manner of a clasp, the clasp limbs (16', 18') of which package halves overlap one another and are fixedly connected to one another, the restoring forces acting in the direction of the clasp limbs in the packaged state of the articles. In this case, the connection of the overlapping clasp limbs brings about a wall reinforcement which absorbs the restoring forces of the compressed packaged product. <IMAGE>
