Abstract (en)
In the manufacture of thermomechanically treated rolled steel material, a fine-grained formation of the microstructure is of great importance to the strength and toughness properties of the rolled product. According to the invention, a considerable improvement in the strength and toughness properties, and an associated substantial increase in the yield point values and notched impact strength of a rolled steel product, are achieved if the deformation of the rolled material starts in a temperature range which is below that of stable austenite, and is continued up to just above the Ac3 temperature.

Bei der Herstellung von thermomechanisch behandeltem Walzgut aus Stahl ist bezüglich der Festigkeits- und Zähigkeitseigenschaften des Walzproduktes die feinkörnige Ausbildung des Gefüges von großer Bedeutung. Gemäß der Erfindung wird eine erhebliche Verbesserung der Festigkeits- und Zähigkeitseigenschaften sowie der damit verbundenen, wesentlichen Erhöhung der Streckgrenzwerte und Kerbschlagzähigkeit eines Walzproduktes aus Stahl dadurch erreicht, daß die Umformung des Walzgutes in einem Temperaturbereich beginnt, der unterhalb dem des stabilen Austenits liegt und bis dicht oberhalb der Ac3- Temperatur fortgesetzt wird.
