Jugs made of fragile material are provided with a plastic mouth edge to reduce the susceptibility to breakage. For cost reasons, the jug handle is then connected to the plastic edge. The connection between the plastic edge and the jug must accordingly be of very sturdy and precise construction since this connection can otherwise become detached during use. In the new hotel jug, the production costs are to be low and the attachment of the plastic edge is to be as simple and durable as possible. <??>In order to obtain a durable connection between the plastic edge of a jug, in particular a glass jug, and the handle of the jug, the plastic edge and the handle are attached separately from one another to the outside of the jug. The plastic edge and the handle are preferably made of different plastic materials and are correspondingly attached with different adhesives, it also being possible for the plastic edge to be mounted on the edge of the jug by simple engagement. <??>The hotel jug can be used, in particular, in the commercial sector, i.e. in restaurants and hotels. <IMAGE>

Kannen aus zerbrechlichem Material werden zur Verminderung der Bruchanfälligkeit mit einem Kunststoff-Mundrand versehen. Aus Kostengründen wird der Kannengriff dann mit dem Kunststoffrand verbunden. Die Verbindung Kunststoffrand - Kanne muß entsprechend sehr stabil und genau ausgebildet sein, da sich diese Verbindung sonst im Gebrauch lösen kann. Bei der neuen Hotelkanne sollen die Fertigungskosten niedrig und die Befestigung des Kunststoffrandes so einfach und dauerhaft wie möglich sein. Um eine dauerhafte Verbindung des Kunststoffrandes einer Kanne insbesondere Glaskanne und des Griffes der Kanne (1) zu erhalten, werden Kunststoffrand (3) und Griff (4) separat voneinander an der Außenseite der Kanne befestigt. Vorzugsweise sind Kunststoffrand und Griff aus unterschiedlichen Kunststoffmaterialien und werden entsprechend mit unterschiedlichen Klebern befestigt, wobei der Kunststoffrand auch durch bloßes Einrasten am Kannenrand angebracht werden kann. Die Hotelkanne kann insbesondere im gewerblichen Bereich, d.h. in Gaststätten- und Hotelbetrieben verwendet werden. <IMAGE>
