[origin: EP0413214A2] In order to be able to operate selectively with gaseous fuel also a pressurised vaporising burner, in particular for field ranges, with an essentially cylindrical vertical combustion chamber which is surrounded by a wall and open on the underside, with a pressurised atomising nozzle, arranged at the underside of the combustion chamber, for liquid fuel for preheating operation, and a main nozzle for vaporised fuel for normal operation, and with a vaporiser which is arranged in the combustion chamber and conducts the liquid fuel from a supply pipe to the main nozzle, the combustion chamber bearing at its open upper end a diffuser, it is proposed that there is arranged on the underside of the cylindrical combustion chamber a further nozzle for gaseous fuel, which is fed from an independent supply line with gaseous fuel. <IMAGE>
