Abstract (en)
[origin: WO8910744A1] This invention provides pharmacologically active compounds having the capability of reestablishing previously destroyed neurological functions in a mammal. These active compounds comprise the reaction product of a guanidino, aminoguanidino, 2-imadazolino, 2-hydrazinoimidazolino or 2-guanidinobenzimidazolino group with a methylated xanthine group. These compounds provide a combination receptor activity designed to stimulate appropriate receptors in the brain and spinal cord and thus tonically stimulate motor neurons.
