Heat emission device (1), such as electric storage heating device, which is to be installed in front of a wall (6) and leaves an air gap (4) between the heat emission device (1) and the wall (6). Wärmeabgabeeinrichtung (1), wie Elektrospeicherheizgerät, die vor einer Wand (6) aufzustellen ist und zwischen der Wärmeabgabeeinrichtung (1) und der Wand (6) einen Luftspalt (4) beläßt. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß in den Luftspalt (4) quer zu seiner Durchströmungsrichtung aufgrund thermischen Auftriebs der Raumluft ein schwammartig offenporiger und für Luft durchgängiger Strömungsbremskörper (8) aus temperaturbeständigem Material dadurch zu bringen ist, daß zumindest über einen Schraubenkopf (Schraube 5) an der Rückwand (9) der Wärmeabgabeeinrichtung (1) eine durch entsprechende Öffnungen (16) luftdurchlässige Halterung für den Strömungsbremskörper (8) aufschnappbar ist, die den Strömungsbremskörper (8) seitlich auf einer Teilhöhe so weit zusammenquetscht, daß ein überstehender Teil des Strömungsbremskörpers (8) seitlich über die Außenabmessungen der Halterung (7) in Ausbauchungen (14) hervorquillt.
