A work table (50) is proposed which comprises a support frame (30), which is provided with two columns (20, 20') arranged spaced apart, and a table top (5) which is essentially supported by said support frame. In this work table (50), a guide (25, 28 or 35) is provided on at least one of the longitudinal or transverse sides, which guide is oriented parallel to the table top (5) and arranged on the support frame (30), and on which a retaining device (40, 40', 40") is arranged, which can be adjusted infinitely variably in a linear manner without further aids, to receive further equipment. The adjustment movement of the retaining device (40, 40', 40") is essentially achieved in that a support (41), which is mounted so as to be movable on the guide (25, 28 or 35), is swivelled slightly about the longitudinal axis of the guide and, in the non-swivelled position, is retained resting on a strut of the support frame (30) by the effect of a lever which is operatively connected to the support (41). <IMAGE>

Es wird ein Arbeitstisch (50) vorgeschlagen, welcher ein mit zwei im Abstand zueinander angeordneten Standsäulen (20,20') versehenes Traggestell (30) sowie eine im wesentlichen davon getragene Tischplatte (5) umfasst. Bei diesem Arbeitstisch (50) ist an mindestens einer der Längs- oder Querseiten eine parallel zur Tischplatte (5) orientierte und an dem Traggestell (30) angeordnete Führung (25,28 oder 35) vorgesehen, an welcher eine ohne weitere Hilsmittel stufenlos, linear verstellbare Haltevorrichtung (40,40',40") zur Aufnahme weiterer Geräte angeordnet ist. Die Verstellbewegung der Haltevorrichtung (40,40',40") wird im wesentlichen dadurch erreicht, dass eine an der Führung (25,28 oder 35) bewegbar gelagerte Stütze (41) um die Längsachse der Führung geringfügig verschwenkt und in der nicht verschwenkten Stellung durch die Wirkung eines mit der Stütze (41) wirkverbundenen Hebels an einer Strebe des Traggestells (30) anliegend gehalten ist.
