[origin: EP0414925A1] The boiler is intended for burning liquid or gaseous combustibles and consists of a water-bearing housing (3) which is provided with forward and return run connections (1, 2) and which is passed through by a combustion chamber (4). The openings (5) at both ends of the combustion chamber (4) are provided with closures (6, 7), one (6) of which contains the feed opening (8) for the burner (9) and the other (7) the waste gas guide. According to the invention, such a boiler consists of a water-bearing housing (3) made of at least one central member (10) and two end members (11, 12) which are made from cast iron, the corelessly formed members (10 to 12) being directed towards one another with their opening edges (13) and clamped together in a sealed manner. The wall (14) delimiting the combustion chamber (4) is in this connection formed as a web (15) which runs around in the members and which ends as an integrally co-cast part in connection plane (E) of the relevant member, the transverse wall (16), which supports the web (15), of the at least one central member (10) being provided with a number of openings (18) connecting all member interiors (17). <IMAGE>
