Die erfindungsgemäße Duschkabine weist mindestens eine tragende Ecksäule (4) mit dreieckigem Querschnitt auf, deren Außenseiten einen Teil der Außenoberfläche der Duschkabine bilden und an denen bündig deren Seitenwände (2) angesetzt sind. Die Ecksäule (4) oder Ecksäulen (4) ist bzw. sind mit Armaturen (10), Installationseinrichtungen sowie Naß- und/oder Trockenstauräumen (7) zur Unterbringung von Dusch- und Badezimmerutensilien ausgestattet, die bevorzugt von innen und/oder außen zugänglich und wahlweise durch einen Spritzschutz (11) abdeckbar sind.
