[origin: EP0415105A1] The reshaping machine comprises means (16) for measuring the transverse profile of the rail (11) for each stretch of rails. It comprises means (23) for storing at least one basic reference profile per type of rails and at least one other reference profile for each basic reference profile; and means (25, 26) for selecting a pair of reference profile as well as means for allocating one of the reference profile of the pair to one of the stretches of rails and for allocating the other profile to the other stretch of rails.
