[origin: EP0415172A2] A counter-current final treatment apparatus having an improved efficiency for photographic continuous material consists of at least one final treatment tank having an inlet for the final treatment bath and an outlet for the final bath enriched with chemicals, as well as driven rollers for transporting the photographic material through the tank on a U-shaped path, there being provided on the outlet side of the photographic material a tube which is open top and bottom, the width of which is adapted to the photographic material, and through which the photographic material is transported, the lower opening dipping into the aftertreatment bath and the upper opening being located above the liquid level of the aftertreatment bath, and the tube provided on the outlet side being connected via the liquid level to the inlet of the aftertreatment bath.
