[origin: WO8911675A1] A method of minimising voltage induced drift in electro-optic devices, the optical state of which is controllable by the application of an electrical potential between first and second electrodes of the device, the method comprising controlling the electrical potentials applied to the first and second electrodes such that in use the average potential difference between the first and second electrodes is substantially zero.

On a mis au point un procédé permettant de réduire au minimum la dérive induite par la tension dans des dispositifs électro-optiques, dont on peut régler l'état optique par l'application d'un potentiel électrique entre les première et seconde électrodes du dispositif. Ledit procédé consiste à régler les potentiels électriques appliqués aux première et seconde électrodes de sorte que la différence moyenne de potentiel entre les première et seconde électrodes soit sensiblement égal à zéro.
