Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0416152A1] An overhead door has panels (10, 12) which are pivotably interconnected by means of a hinge (14). To avoid fingers being crushed, a finger guard (34) is fastened between neighbouring edges of panels, which guard has an elastic ball-shaped section (46) and a front piece (40) which in closed position is aligned coplanarly with the front outer shells (18, 20) of the panels. The visible side of the finger guard (34) is either provided with a coloured layer (42) or a coloured profile can be fixed to it. <IMAGE>
