[origin: EP0416340A1] In a display case, supports (15) made of a hollow profile are attached by one end to the display case body while joint parts (20) in the region of their free ends are mounted in the interior of the hollow profile to retain the front pane (13), which joint parts define a horizontal axle, about which the front pane (13) can pivot between a lowered position and a raised position. In order to facilitate the movement, it is proposed that a linear connecting rod drive (30) be arranged in the interior of the hollow profile of the support, which drive is provided with a rod (35) which, in the case of drive, can either be retracted (36) into the housing or extended from the housing (34). The two drive ends (31, 32), which point away from one another, are changed in their spacing from one another in the case of drive in the sense of extension or reduction. The lower drive end (31) is indeed mounted in a stationary manner so as to pivot in the interior of the hollow profile, but the upper drive end (32) is hinged to the joint part (20) so that it moves with the latter.
