[origin: EP0417049A1] In a panel (1) for an acoustic barrier made of wood, the noise-absorbing layer (4), which preferably comprises a fibre wool, is completely covered with a layer (3) of a cement-bound porous material. In this way the disadvantages associated with traditional designs of acoustic barriers made of wood with incomplete covering of the sound-absorbing layer using wooden laths are avoided, a better aesthetic effect is produced and a unit with low weight is achieved. <IMAGE>
