Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8908622A1] Dry cementitious compositions and methods for their application. The dry compositions are poured, sprayed or troweled onto a substrate which contains water in excess of that necessary for hydration. These compositions can be applied by layering, dropping through a conduit, or dropped into water. Also, a method of mixing materials is disclosed. A fluid medium is introduced into a mixing column. A predetermined amount of at least one primary material is introduced into the mixing column. The primary material is permitted to descend at a predetermined rate. Secondary materials are introduced into the mixing column through one end or through at least one position along the side (32) at an angle and velocity sufficient to intimately contact the primary material along its path of descent so that the materials are continuously mingled as they descend, until they reach the lower end (20) of the mixing column.
