CONSTITUTION: The approximately one third or one fourth portion of the front portion of a sheet portion 20 is made of a comparatively thin and elastic material such as a plastic, and is fixed on a supporting plate 18. A receiving plate 22 is elongated toward a lateral direction over the sheet portion 20, and provides a rigidity as well as the front supporting plate 18, and fixed to the below of the sheet portion at the rear position of approximately one third of the sheet portion 20. And the approximately one third portion of the center of the sheet portion is made movable. The front top portion 26 of the U-shaped leg spring 24 of a main portion is supported by an adjusting screw 28 at the below of a front bracket 16. The rear end portion 36, 40 of the leg spring 24 is guided from the upper side of a journal portion 34, 36 to the lower side of the receiving plate 22, and can be locked by changing the position of the longitudinal direction.

Ein Stuhl, insbesondere Bürostuhl weist eine senkrechte, von einem Fußgestell (10) ausgehende Säule (12) auf, von deren oberem Ende nach vorne ein Ausleger (16) vorspringt. Mit dem Ausleger ist eine Sitzplatte (20) verbunden, die im rückwärtigen Bereich durch eine an der Säule (12) festgelegte Schenkelfeder (24) abgestützt wird. Die Sitzplatte (20) ist etwa im Bereich ihres vorderen Drittels fest mit einer auf dem Ausleger angebrachten Trägerplatte (18) und im Bereich ihres hinteren Drittels fest mit einer starren Stützplatte (22) verbunden. Die Stützplatte (22) weist an der Unterseite Hülsen zur verschiebbaren Aufnahme zweier offener Ende (38,40) der insgesamt U-förmigen Schenkelfeder (24) auf. Wenigstens im Bereich ihres mittleren Drittels ist die Sitzplatte (20) biegsam ausgebildet.
