Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0417527A2] The invention relates to a casting investment compound for the preparation of investment compound models and casting moulds for alloy parts, especially in dental technology, using the MgO-SiO2-P2O5 ceramic system. The invention relates also to investment compound models and casting moulds consisting of the investment casting compound described and to a method of preventing efflorescence of investment compound models and casting moulds consisting of an investment casting compound. To avoid efflorescences (formation of sodium phosphate) it is proposed to add 0.01 to 10 % by mass of a water-soluble acid or acids or of at least one solid organic carboxylic acid having 2 to 10 carbon atoms, soluble in water and/or a C1-C4-alcohol.
