Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0417599A2] After a yarn interruption and a subsequent restoration of the yarn connection at the winding station of a textile machine, the yarn has to be transferred into its normal yarn running position on the yarn guide of the winding station. But the transfer of the yarn usually does not take place in synchronism with the movement of the yarn guide, and therefore the yarn may be deposited at one and the same point on the bobbin for some time. The thick places occurring thereby can lead to difficulties in the unwinding of cross-wound bobbins. <??>It is proposed so to coordinate the movement of the transferring yarn and the traversing movement of the yarn guide with one another that, for the yarn transfer, the yarn and the yarn guide arrive essentially simultaneously at the transfer point of the yarn. The exact transfer of the yarn to the yarn guide is obtained by means (34, 35, 36) for monitoring the feed movement of the yarn (5b) to the transfer point and means (42, 43) for monitoring the traversing movement of the yarn guide (11), which are connected to control devices (33, 39). <IMAGE>
