This coke oven door according to the invention essentially comprises a door body (1) having a door plug (4) protruding into the opening of a door frame and a door plug carrier (11) carrying the latter, and a membrane seal device (8) of limited elasticity, fixed to the door plug carrier with its peripheral edges bearing against the door frame in the closed state of the door. A membrane sealing device of particularly reliable action is obtained when it has two metal membranes (9, 10) which are each bent approximately into the shape of a pan lid and are arranged inside one another and between the central regions of which a flat spacer element (11) is fixed to form an outer space (12) all around. <IMAGE>

Diese erfindungsgemäße Koksofentür enthält im wesentlichen einen Türkörper (1) mit einem in die Öffnung eines Türrahmens hineinragenden Türstopfen (4) und einem letzteren tragenden Türstopfenträger (11) sowie eine am Türstopfenträger befestigte, begrenzt elastische Membran-Dichtungseinrichtung (8), deren Umfangskanten im geschlossenen Zustand der Tür am Türrahmen anliegen. Eine besonders zuverlässig wirkende Membran-Dichtungseinrichtung wird dadurch erzielt, daß sie zwei jeweils etwa topfdeckelförmig gebogene Metallmembranen (9, 10) aufweist, die ineinander angeordnet sind und zwischen deren Mittelbereichen ein flächenförmiges Abstandselement (11) unter Bildung eines äußeren umlaufenden Raumes (12) befestigt ist.
