[origin: EP0417618A2] The invention relates to a method and devices for pneumatically removing a broken yarn end from the wound cone 4 of a yarn-winding body 3 or from the tube 2 carrying the yarn-winding body, in the region of the ring rail 5 of a spinning machine, by means of at least one yarn-end blow-off nozzle 6. According to the invention, the activation of the nozzle 6 takes place not as a function of the position of the ring rail 5, but as a function of the position of the wound cone 4.
