Abstract (en)

An apparatus for artificially ageing new items of clothing, particularly denim trousers, includes: - a supporting frame (102) which defines a loading station (103), an unloading station (103) and an item spraying station (104); - horizontal guiding means (111) which extend between said loading, unloading and spraying stations; - one or more item supporting dummies (6, 106) which are at least partially expandable and slidable along said guiding means; - pneumatic means (140) for inflating and deflating said dummies; - mechanical means (113) for moving said dummies between said loading and unloading stations and said spraying station; - means (130) for the localized spraying of oxidizing and/or bleaching liquids on the items to be treated: - means (132, 133) for translatory motion of said spraying means on preset regions of said items; - means (160) for the automatic control of said movement means, of said spraying means, of said translatory motion means and possibly of said dummy inflation and deflation means; - actuation means (70) which interact with said control means and can be actuated by an operator to actuate said dummy inflation and deflation means.
