[origin: EP0418049A2] A cake of soap (1) has display means (2) adhered to or embedded therein. The display means (2) includes at least one deposit of temperature responsive liquid crystal material which undergoes a reversible visible colour change when passing through a predetermined temperature of from 25 DEG C to 45 DEG C. The display means is intended to change its display when moving between water at a temperature above, and ambient air at a temperature below, said predetermined temperature.
