Ignition coil, particularly for a motor vehicle internal combustion engine, comprising, integrated in a housing (7) a magnetic assembly consisting in particular of a magnetic core (3) accommodated in a primary coil holder (2), a secondary coil holder (4) coaxial with the first coil holder (2), primary (1) and secondary (5) windings, a magnetic flux-return circuit (8), a high-voltage link assembly comprising in particular a high-voltage bracket (12), a high-voltage guide (20) in which a high-voltage output member (19) is accommodated, characterised in that the said magnetic flux-return circuit (8) comprises at least three pairwise orthogonal parts (8a, 8b, 8c) forming a U in cross-section, constituting the three sides of a rectangle inside which the said magnetic flux-return circuit (8) is inscribed, and in that the said high-voltage output member (19) is arranged so that it is oriented in a direction passing through the centre (Y-Y') of the said rectangle. <IMAGE>

Bobine d'allumage, en particulier pour moteur à combustion interne de véhicule automobile, comportant, intégré à un boîtier (7) un ensemble magnétique constitué notamment d'un noyau magnétique (3) logé dans un bobineau primaire (2), un bobineau secondaire (4) coaxial au bobineau primaire (2), des enroulements primaire (1) et secondaire (5), un circuit magnétique de retour de flux (8), un ensemble de liaison haute-tension comprenant notamment une potence haute-tension (12), un guide haute-tension (20) dans lequel vient se loger un organe de sortie haute-tension (19), caractérisée ce que ledit circuit magnétique de retour de flux (8) comporte au moins trois parties orthogonales deux à deux (8a,8b,8c) formant en section un U, constituant les trois côtés d'un rectangle dans lequel est inscrit ledit circuit magnétique de retour de flux (8), et en ce que ledit organe de sortie haute-tension (19) est disposé de telle sorte qu'il se présente dans une direction passant par le centre (Y-Y') dudit rectangle.
