This relates to a modular device of the kind in which the front part (12) at least of the casing (11) comprises two main parallel faces (16A, 16B). According to the invention, there is associated, local to a marking portion (20) of such a modular device belonging for example to the forward face (13) of its casing (11), a protection-marking cover (21) which is suitable for being placed laterally over this marking portion (26), by sliding parallel to the main faces (16A, 16B) of the casing (11), and which is able to define with it a housing suitable for receiving a marker. Application for example to electrical devices such as circuit-breakers or circuit cut-outs. <IMAGE>

Il s'agit d'un appareil modulaire du genre dont la partie de façade (12) au moins du boîtier (11) comporte deux faces principales parallèles (16A, 16B). Suivant l'invention, il est associé, localement à une portion de repérage (20) d'un tel appareil modulaire appartenant par exemple à la face avant (13) de son boîtier (11), un capot protège-repère (21), qui est propre à être mis en place latéralement sur cette portion de repérage (26), par coulissement parallèlement aux faces principales (16A, 16B) du boîtier (11), et qui est apte à définir avec elle un logement propre à la réception d'un repère. Application par exemple aux appareils électriques tels que disjoncteurs ou coupe-circuit.
