The device is noteworthy in that it comprises means (5, 6, 7) for gripping a part of the tape (R) in order to position it opposite a winding member (4) capable of interacting with the product (P) in order to encircle it over at least one revolution with the seized part of the tape without leaving protruding flaps, the relative bringing together or separation of the winding member and the product taking place on one and the same side. <IMAGE>

L'appareil est remarquable en ce qu'il comprend des moyens de préhension (5, 6, 7) d'une partie du ruban (R) pour le positionner en regard d'un organe d'enroulement (4) apte à coopérer avec le produit (P) pour l'enserrer sur au moins un tour avec la partie du ruban saisie sans laisser de pattes débordantes, le rapprochement ou l'éloignement relatif de l'organe d'enroulement et du produit s'effectuant d'un même côté.
