Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH03149899A] PURPOSE: To allow a parasitic current induced by electromagnetic radiation to directly pass form a shielding member to a chassis, without having it intrude into the inside of the chassis and to protect a built-in electric circuit from the external electromagnetic radiation by connecting a shielded connector part to one end of a cable and electrically connecting the other connector part arranged in the chassis to the electric circuit. CONSTITUTION: A recessed part 26 positions a connector part 15B, so as to be directly opposite an aperture 30 of a metallic box 11 and a connector part 15A connected to one end of a shielded electric cable is inserted into the aperture 30. The box 11 is provided with a non-metallic and elastically conductive connection element, the connector part 15A is connected to the connector part 15B by using the element as the form of a film 35 and the element is brought into contact with a shielding member 19, which grounded through the film 35 and the box 11. A material used for the production of the film 35 consists of elastomer, mixing 30 to 70% silver, gold, nickel, or aluminium grains, its electrical resistivity is <=0.2Ω-cm, and the thickness of the film 35 is set in a range of 0.5 to 3mm.
