[origin: US5067624A] A closure of plastic, especially polypropylene, for the necks of containers, especially bottles. The outer wall (8) of the closure flares lengthwise of the neck from the top end of the closure down to a circumferential line (29) of maximum size and tapers again toward the bottom end of the closure. The bottom part (2) and lid (26) of the closure are joined together by a snap hinge (28). This snap hinge is integral with the bottom part and lid and is situated in their outer walls. The depth of the main part (26.1) of the lid (26) is substantially less than the difference in level of the closure between its circumferential line (29) of maximum size and its upper end. For its connection to the snap hinge (28) the lid has an arm (26.3) on one side. The active elements of the snap hinge are disposed symmetrically with the circumferential line (29). This closure has a lid of relatively small size and can be made with a two-part injection mold which does not need to have any lateral slides.

Ein Verschluß aus Kunststoff, insbesondere Polypropylen, für Mündungen von Behältern, insbesondere Flaschen. Die Außenwand (8) des Verschlusses erweitert sich in Längsrichtung der Mündung vom oberen Ende des Verschlusses her bis zu einer Umfangslinie (29) maximaler Größe und verjüngt sich gegen das untere Ende des Verschlusses wieder. Unterteil (2) und Deckel (26) des Verschlusses sind durch ein Schnappscharnier (28) miteinander verbunden. Dieses Schnappscharnier ist mit Unterteil und Deckel einstückig ausgebildet und fällt in deren Außenwandungen. Die Höhe des Hauptteils (26.1) des Deckels (26) ist wesentlich kleiner als die Höhendifferenz des Verschlusses zwischen seiner Umfangslinie (29) maximaler Größe und seinem oberen Ende. Zur Verbindung mit dem Schnappscharnier (28) hat der Deckel einen einseitigen Fortsatz (26.3). Die wirksamen Elemente des Schnappscharniers sind symmetrisch zu der Umfangslinie (29) angeordnet. Dieser Verschluß hat einen Deckel relativ geringer Größe und läßt sich mit einer zweiteiligen Spritzform herstellen, die keine seitlichen Schieber zu haben braucht. <IMAGE>
