In a device for the metered delivery or the application of liquid or pasty products comprising a container for the product, a delivery opening at an application-side end of the device, through-channels between the inside of the reservoir and the application opening as well as valve devices connected to an actuation device in order to optionally open and close the through-channels by means of a relative axial displacement of a valve element counter to the pressure of a restoring spring, in which case the valve element is connected to a connecting rod projecting into the reservoir, on which rod a piston which penetrates the reservoir in a transversely sealing manner is arranged with directional locking in such a way that it is only taken along towards the delivery opening in the case of a movement of the connecting rod, it is provided, in order to achieve an exact metering and to permit the device to be used also for volatile media, that the delivery opening (49) in the valve element (21) is constructed as a valve seat and the valve element (21) encloses an axially fixed shaft (33), the front end of which is constructed as a valve tappet. Bei einer Vorrichtung zur dosierten Abgabe bzw. zum Auftrag flüssiger oder pastöser Massen umfassend einen Behälter für die Masse, eine Abgabeöffnung an einem auftragseitigen Ende der Vorrichtung, Durchlaßkanäle zwischen der Innenseite des Vorratsbehälters und der Auftragsöffnung sowie mit einer Betätigungseinrichtung verbundene Ventileinrichtungen zum wahlweisen Öffnen und Schließen der Durchlaßkanäle durch eine relative, axiale Verlagerung eines Ventilelements gegen den Druck einer Rückstellfeder, wobei das Ventilelement mit einer in den Vorratsbehälter ragenden Zugstange verbunden ist, auf der ein den Vorratsbehälter quer dichtend durchsetzender Kolben mit einem Richtgesperre derart angeordnet ist, daß er nur bei einer Bewegung der Zugstange auf die Abgabeöffnung zu mitgenommen wird, ist zur Erzielung einer exakten Dosierung und einer Verwendungsmöglichkeit auch für flüchtige Medien vorgesehen, daß die Abgabeöffnung (49) in dem Ventilelement (21) als Ventilsitz ausgebildet ist und das Ventilelement (21) einen axial feststehenden Schaft (33) umschließt, dessen Vorderende als Ventilstößel ausgebildet ist. Vorzugsweise ist das Betätigungselement als zwischen Ventilelement (21) und Behälter (1) bzw. Behälteransatz (15) angeordneter Betätigungsring (44) ausgebildet, welcher mit einem Betätigungshebel (44a) verbunden ist, so daß der Betätigungsring (44) das Ventilelement (21) in Öffnungsposition drückend verkippbar ist.
