[origin: EP0420058A1] The present invention relates to a safety socket system in which the wall socket (1) is automatically disconnected from all electrical power on unplugging a connector plug (2). After plugging in another or the same connector plug (2) again, the electrical supply to the connector socket (1) is also automatically restored. This connection and disconnection of the electrical supply of the connector socket (1) on plugging in and unplugging the connector plug (2) is carried out by the interaction between an interruptor (10, 11) located in the connector socket (1) and an actuating means (18) located in the connector plug (2). According to one embodiment of the present invention, the interrupter (10, 11; 11', 29) is connected between the input phase conduit (Pe) and the phase contact (8, 76) of the connector socket (1, 1'), and it is constituted by a reed relay (10, 11) or by an internal contact (29) actuated by a magnet (11'). The actuating means in the connector plug consists of a magnet (18, 18') whose movement towards the interrupter makes the circuit of the latter. In this way, the insertion of the connector plug (2, 2') into the connector socket (1, 1') automatically makes the connector socket live. <IMAGE>
