Safety device for cableways with automatic coupling of the transport means to the traction/bearing cable (13), each transport means having a suspension (11) which is provided at its upper end with a clamp (12) which can be coupled and uncoupled in a known manner into and out of the valley and mountain stations (1) of the users as soon as the clamp body (12) runs onto a fixed support guide in the station (1). According to the invention, the safety device comprises two rails (18, 19) spaced apart from one another and arranged essentially below the traction/bearing cable (13). The rails (18, 19) are attached to the body of the cableway. The distance between the two rails (18, 19) is dimensioned in such a way that it is possible for the suspensions (11) to run between the two rails and at the same time for the clamp body (12) to extend transversely above the two rails (18, 19). <IMAGE>

Sicherheitsvorrichtung für Seilumlaufbahnen mit automatischer Ankupplung der Transportmittel an das Zug-Tragseil (13), wobei jedes Transportmittel eine Aufhängung (11) aufweist, die an ihrem oberen Ende mit einer Klemme (12) versehen ist, die in den Tal- und Bergstationen (1) der Benützer auf bekannte Art und Weise ankuppelbar und entkuppelbar ist, sobald der Klemmenkörper (12) auf einer festliegenden Auflageführung in der Station (1) läuft. Erfindungsgemäß umfaßt die Sicherheitsvorrichtung zwei zueinander beabstandete und im wesentlichen unterhalb des Zug-Tragseils (13) angeordnet Schienen (18, 19). Die Schienen (18, 19) sind am Aufbau der Seilumlaufbahn befestigt. Der Abstand zwischen den beiden Schienen (18, 19) ist derart bemessen ist, daß den Aufhängungen (11) es ermöglicht wird, zwischen den beiden Schienen zu laufen, und daß gleichzeitig der Klemmenkörper (12) sich quer oberhalb der beiden Schienen (18, 19) erstreckt.
