[origin: US5088755A] This snow ski, the sides of which have an inclination which is variable in relation to the plane of the sole of the ski, at different points along its length, and are constituted by curved convex or concave lines, in which the profiles of the sides are of variable curvature according to the cross-section in question of the ski. A procedure for manufacturing this ski consists, starting from a rough ski, in carrying out the machining of the lateral parts of the ski with the aid of a rotary tool with an axis perpendicular to the plane of the upper surface of the ski, the active surface of which is generated by a continuous monotonic curve, by carrying out a relative movement of the tool and of the ski simultaneously, in the direction of the length of the ski, in the direction of the width of the ski and in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the upper surface of the ski.

Ce ski de neige dont les chants (8) possèdent une inclinaison variable par rapport au plan de la semelle (1) du ski, en différents points de sa longueur, et sont constitués par des lignes courbes, convexes ou concaves, est caractérisé en ce que les profils des chants (8<a>) sont de courbure variable suivant la section considérée du ski. Un procédé de fabrication de ce ski consiste, partant d'une ébauche de ski, à réaliser l'usinage des parties latérales du ski à l'aide d'un outil tournant d'axe perpendiculaire au plan de la face supérieure du dont la face active (12) est engendrée par une courbe continue monotone, en réalisant un mouvement relatif de l'outil (10) et du ski (3) simultanement, dans la direction de la longueur du ski, dans la direction de la largeur du ski, et dans une direction perpendiculaire au plan de la face supérieure du ski.
