[origin: WO8912919A1] A device is described for connecting up and laying wires, using a multi-axis positioning unit with which the wire is fed into a laying tube and pushed forward by a forward-feed unit. The device combines the following features: a pair of grippers, the jaws of which have recesses in the plane of the jaw, these recesses forming the laying tube; the forward-feed unit is integral with the gripper jaws and reversible; the ends of the laying tube are fitted with shaped elements which line up a contact when the wire is pulled into the laying tube.
