Abstract (en)
A rocker attachment for a wheelchair consisting of large rear wheels, small front wheels, a seat between the rear wheels, and a rigid frame which is connected to the wheels via axles and supports the seat above the ground. The rocker attachment is characterised by a rigid base with a large radius of curvature compared to that of the rear wheels of the chair, and a tilting frame fixed to this rigid base and fitted on the axle of at least one rear wheel in such a way as to be able to pivot around this axle. A system of lever arms permits not only the downward displacement of the rigid base into an operative limit position, thereby to lift the rear wheels from the ground, but also the upward displacement of the rigid base into an inoperative limit position in order to move it clear of the ground. An adjusting screw is also provided, this adjusting screw making it possible to vary the angle between the wheelchair seat and the rigid base in its operative limit position. <IMAGE>

Un berceau pour une chaise roulante constituée de grandes roues arrières, de petites roues avant, d'un siège entre les roues arrières et d'un cadre rigide relié aux roues par des essieux et supportant le siège au-dessus du sol. Le berceau est caractérisé par une base rigide à fort rayon de courbure relativement à celui des roues arrières de la chaise, et un cadre de bascule fixé à cette base rigide et installé à l'essieu d'au moins une roue arrière de façon à pouvoir pivoter autour de cet essieu. Un système de bras de levier permet non seulement le déplacement de la base rigide vers le bas, en une position limite opérante pour ainsi soulever de terre les roues arrières, mais aussi le déplacement de la base rigide vers le haut en une position limite inopérante afin de la dégager du sol. L'on prévoit également une vis d'ajustement, permettant de varier l'angle entre le siège de la chaise roulante et la base rigide dans sa position limite opérante.
