[origin: EP0421085A2] Fresh water stored in a reservoir is provided for flushing out the active-substance collecting channel. This reservoir is self-contained and is arranged above the working vessel (for example, the tub of a washing machine). The controllable fresh-water connecting line opens at the highest point into the fresh-water reservoir, at the bottom of which is connected the suction line leading to the collecting channel. Moreover, guided on the reservoir is an overflow line, the downwardly open mouth of which is arranged so far below the mouth of the fresh-water connecting line that the space in the reservoir above the mouth of the overflow orifice is so large that the volume of the overflow line can fill it only to a maximum of 20 mm below the mouth of the fresh-water connecting line. <IMAGE>
