Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0421170A2] Each dual-apron drafting arrangement of a spinning machine has a basic frame (11), in which are arranged in succession and at a distance from one another at least three drive cylinders (12, 13, 14, 15) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the machine and are driven at a speed increasing in the direction of run of the roving and each of which is assigned an individual pair of pressure rollers (18, 19, 20, 21) which is arranged thereabove and which is fastened freely rotatably to a respective load arm (17), pivotable upwards about a pivot axle (16) extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine and arranged behind the drive cylinders (12, 13, 14, 15), as seen in the yarn running direction, and which has an axis of rotation which extends parallel to the drive cylinders (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) and between which and the associated drive cylinder (12, 13, 14, 15) the roving (22) is guided through in a clamped manner. Each load arm (17) is assigned its own pneumatic piston/cylinder arrangement (23) which is arranged in the basic frame (11) and which can exert a specific pressure force on the load arm (17) in the region, where the pair of pressure rollers (18, 19, 20, 21) are located, via a mechanical tension member (24) which can be arranged either non-positively or positively between the load arm (17) and the piston/cylinder arrangement (23). <IMAGE>
