[origin: EP0421560A1] The invention relates to an apparatus for the oscillation of continuous casting moulds (1) with a quadrilateral base frame (7) on which two rotatingly driven eccentric shafts (5, 5') are arranged in parallel. The oscillation can be transmitted to the mould via the eccentrics arranged thereon. In order to keep the masses to be moved small while ensuring precise synchronism of movement, it is proposed that the mould be fixed in an opening of a supporting plate (2), that a wearing plate (3) be arranged underneath the supporting plate at each corner and that this wearing plate rest on an eccentric outer ring (4') which is rotatably mounted on the eccentrics. Spring bars (6) are furthermore provided parallel to the edges of the supporting plate. <IMAGE>
