Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0421924A1] A device (101) for rectifying warp-yarn breaks in a loom is first positioned approximately at the broken warp yarn (11) by being guided to the catch lamella (21) which belongs to the broken warp yarn (11). After the removal of the broken warp yarn (11), a new auxiliary warp yarn (1) is introduced into the catch lamella (21) and the heald (31), in that two laterally slotted draw-in tubes (71,72) alternately blow the auxiliary warp yarn (1) through orifices in the catch lamella (21) and in the heald (31). The auxiliary warp yarn thereby passes out of the blowing orifice of one draw-in tube (71) into a suction orifice of the other draw-in tube (72). In this operation, the draw-in tubes (71,72) are moved further in steps in the warp direction of the loom, until they reach a perforated needle (6c) which is inserted through the weaving reed (4) and into which the auxiliary warp yarn (1) is finally threaded. A warp-yarn break can be rectified definitively by means of this device (101) without additional work.
