Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0421977A2] A catenary vehicle using a working platform which can be raised and lowered comprises, for extending the working platform (4), four lifting columns each having hydraulically driven members capable of moving telescopically relative to one another. In this arrangement, each lifting column can be adjusted by in each case one stationary, vertically arranged toothed chain (21) running over in each case one chain wheel (29) and two pressure rollers (20), the chain wheels (29) for two respective lifting columns (3a, 3b) being rigidly mounted on a shaft (19). In addition, an additional chain wheel (29) is rigidly mounted on each shaft (19), and a first shaft (19) is connected to a second shaft (19) by means of a chain (8a and 8b respectively). The parallel position of the working platform 4 with respect to the reference plane is guaranteed by the invention without having to use an additional parallel-guiding device. <IMAGE>
