[origin: EP0422332A2] A device (11) for placing reinforcing elements on indexing inserts (1) comprises a transport device (12) for the indexing inserts (1) and a feed device (13) in order to place the reinforcing elements on the indexing insert (1). In order that the device (11) operates without interference as quickly as possible, a drum (22) is provided which comprises a multiplicity of grooves (27) which extend parallel to the axis of rotation and in which the reinforcing elements are inserted on the one side of the drum (22), which reinforcing elements are placed on the indexing insert on the other side of the drum (22) and fixed with the aid of a stapling device (16). Apart from the rotary movement, the drum (22) rests while the offset required between successive indexing inserts (1) is ensured by an adjustable stop device (17). <IMAGE>
