The invention relates to the use of a fully austenitic steel, consisting of the alloy elements (in % by weight) up to 0.20% of C 16 to 24% of Cr 17 to 20% of Mn 0.5 to 1.3% of N the remainder being iron and conventional impurities arising from this melting process, which, after solution annealing at 1000 to 1150 DEG C and cooling to room temperature, has a minimum yield point Rp0.2 of 550 N/mm<2> and a notched impact strength of at least 150 joule (iso V test), as a material for the production of solid wheels, tyres or wheel-set brake discs of railway vehicles.

Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung eines vollaustenitischen Stahls, bestehend aus den Legierungselementen (in Masse-%) bis 0,20 % C 16 bis 24 % Cr 17 bis 20 % Mn 0,5 bis 1,3 % N Rest Eisen und übliche, erschmelzungsbedingte Verunreinigungen, der nach einem Lösungsglühen bei 1000 bis 1150 <o>C und Abkühlung auf Raumtemperatur eine Mindeststreckgrenze Rp0,2 von 550 N/mm² und eine Kerbschlagzähigkeit von mindestens 150 Joule (Iso-V-Probe) aufweist, als Werkstoff zur Herstellung von Vollrädern, Radreifen oder Radsatzbremsscheiben von Schienenfahrzeugen.
