Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verbindungsystem, insbesondere für elektronische Netzwerke, mit mindestens einer mehradrigen Verbindungsleitung; einem oder mehreren Anschlußelementen, die an der Verbindungsleitung fest angeschlossen sind; austauschbaren Zwischenelementen, die mit den Anschlußelementen lösbar verbindbar sind und ein oder mehrere Anschlußstücke für Peripheriegeräte oder Rechner aufweisen; wobei das austauschbare Zwischenelement entsprechend dem Signalübertragungsmodus angeordnete Leitungen zwischen Anschlußstücken und Anschlußelement aufweist.
