The surface (S) forms, with the contact surface between the object (14) to be moved and the supports (12, 13), a dihedron whose edge faces away from the direction (D) in which it is desired to move the object (14), the said means (19, 21) being adapted for raising and for simultaneously being able to push the objects in order to hold them during their movement at a predetermined distance above the supports (12, 13).
