[origin: WO9009347A2] A high efficiency phase change nozzle (16) has a body (19) with primary orifices (29), a pilot nozzle (20) extends upstream from the body and has a pilot orifice (35) and central cavity (36) through which a pilot flow of liquid is flashed to the solid state, cooling the pilot nozzle, thereby precooling the liquid before it flows through the primary orifices. An exit nozzle (21), in conjunction with a housing (17), assists in continuing the phase change of the mixture exiting the primary orifices and with dispersing the mixture into the downstream cavity (43).

Un ajutage (16) à changement de phase à haut rendement comporte un corps (19) doté d'orifices primaires (29). Un ajutage pilote (20) s'étend en amont à partir dudit corps et présente un orifice pilote (35) ainsi qu'une cavité centrale (36) dans laquelle un écoulement pilote de liquide est refroidi jusqu'à obtention d'un état solide, refroidissant l'ajutage pilote et prérefroidissant ainsi le liquide avant qu'il ne s'écoule dans les orifices primaires. Un ajutage de sortie (21), conjointement avec un logement (17), aide à continuer le changement de phase du mélange sortant des orifices primaires et à distribuer ledit mélange dans la cavité aval (43).
