In a flanged reel having an essentially cylindrical casing (1) which forms a winding surface and which adjoins at one end a radially outward-projecting flange (3) and at its other end a concentric annular collar (9) of reduced diameter, and having a supporting element (11) arranged within the casing (1) and possessing a central guide tube (12), the latter is made elastically flexible in the radial direction in an edge region (16) facing the end (foot end) equipped with the flange (3). Such a flexibility can reliably guarantee that the edge region (16) will bear against a receiving mandrel, with the result that the concentric running properties and load absorption are improved. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Flanschenspule mit einem im wesentlichen zylindrischen, eine Wickelfläche bildenden Mantel (1), an den sich an seinem einen Ende ein radial nach außen vorstehender Flansch (3) und an seinem anderen Ende ein konzentrischer Ringbund (9) mit reduziertem Durchmesser anschließt, und mit einem innerhalb des Mantels (1) angeordneten Stützelement (11), das eine zentrale Führungshülse (12) aufweist, ist diese in einem dem mit dem Flansch (3) versehenen Ende (Fußende) zugewandten Randbereich (16) in radialer Richtung elastisch nachgiebig ausgebildet ist. Durch eine solche Nachgiebigkeit kann ein Anliegen des Randbereiches (16) an einem Aufnahmedorn zuverlässig sichergestellt werden, wodurch die Rundlaufeigenschaften und die Lastaufnahme verbessert werden.
