Abstract (en)
A sub-calibre projectile (1) having a sabot (3) and a sealing disc (7) at its rear (6) is, whilst being of simple design, to guarantee reliable gas sealing in both a smooth and a rifled weapon barrel. For this purpose, the sabot (3) has no guide strap. The sealing disc (7) has, at its outer edge (8), a rearwardly projecting laterally spreadable sealing lip (9) which, as a result of the gas pressure during firing, is laid sealingly into rifling grooves of the weapon barrel or against its wall. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Ein Unterkalibergeschoß(1) mit einem Treibspiegel(3) und einer Dichtscheibe(7) an dessen Heck(6) soll bei einfachem Aufbau eine sichere Gasdichtung in einem glatten und auch in einem gezogenen Waffenrohr gewährleisten. Es ist hierfür der Treibspiegel(3) führungsbandlos. Die Dichtscheibe(7) weist an ihrem Außenrand(8) eine nach hinten ragende, seitlich ausspreizbare Dichtlippe(9) auf, die sich durch den Gasdruck beim Abschuß in Züge des Waffenrohrs bzw. an dessen Wandung dichtend anlegt.
