[origin: EP0423659A2] A strap fastener, which guarantees a firm hold in the closed position and which can easily be opened, even with the strap tensioned, has a first fastener part 1 with a slot, the mouth of which is narrowed by means of a nose. A second fastener part 10 is made U-shaped, and between its free legs is inserted a spring part 13 having a resilient tongue 16.
