Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9000149A1] Thread storage and dispensing device, where feed elements (12) in the storage drum (8) of a hub body (16), positioned eccentrically and obliquely relative to the storage drum and to the drive shaft (5, 13), sway eccentrically in the operational mode in order to separate and move forward the thread spirals on the storage drum, and where an adjusting device is provided for adjusting a sleeve (18, 18', 18'') carrying the pivoting hub body (16) in order to modify the forward feed or to adapt the forward feed to the direction of rotation. Said sleeve is supported in a pivotally adjustable manner, with one of its axes on a first point of articulation (M) and with its opposite end on a second point of articulation (P), both situated on the drive shaft. The second point of articulation (P) either slides in a rotating manner around the axis of the drive shaft and relative to the drive shaft or with an angular displacement relative to the eccentricity (e) and obliquely relative to the axis of the drive shaft, or tilts relative to an adjusting axis cutting obliquely through the drive shaft and in approximate alignment with the eccentricity. Moreover, the sleeve (18') can be fixed to rotate with the drive shaft (5, 13) by means of an adjusting axis intersecting the drive shaft axis (6) at a near right angle and in approximate alignment with the eccentricity (e) and can pivot in an adjusting plane containing the drive shaft axis; alternatively, the eccentricity (e) can be shifted from one side of the axis (19) to its other sides, the oblique axis of the sleeve being fixed as regards its angle and its rotating position relative to the drive shaft (5, 13). Precise adjustment of the forward feed or adaptation to the direction of rotation is thus achieved by a simple design.
